Presentation Instructions
- KDD 2024 is an in-person conference. All papers and posters are to be presented by one of the authors or a designated proxy. Note, it is the author’s responsibility to find a proxy if one is needed. If you can attend KDD, you are expected to present your paper in person.
- Please note, to be included in the proceedings, every accepted ADS and Research paper must be covered by a full or main conference registration at the standard (non-student) in-person rate, of which payment must be completed by the camera-ready deadline of June 19th, 2024.

SCHEDULE
- The paper sessions are currently being finalized and will be assigned a speaking time slot soon. Once the schedule is ready for review, authors will receive an email and the schedules for each track will be provided below.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Each author receives 12 minutes for their presentation and 3 minutes for Q&A – 15 minutes in total.
- Aligning with KDD’s approach of hosting an in-person conference, meeting rooms are NOT equipped to handle online presentations in any way (i.e. Zoom presentations).
- Each session room will be set similarly with a lectern and head table on a riser (if applicable) in the front of the room and equipped with a screen, projector and HDMI connection for laptops. Please bring an adapter if needed.
- For presentations that require audio, a direct line will be available that plugs directly into your computer’s audio port.
- Presenters must bring their own laptop to present. Laptops will not be provided.
- There is no requirement to use a specific PowerPoint template to present, however, one is provided below if you would like to use it.
- Download the 2024 KDD Template.
- Wireless Internet access will be available in each session room; however, we do not recommend embedding items in your presentation that require internet access. To ensure a smooth transition from one presentation to the next, we highly encourage all presenters to embed any videos directly into their presentation.
- There will be a Session Chair and a Student Volunteer in every session room in case you need any assistance.
Poster Presentation Details:
Please come up with a 2-minute-long promotional video of your paper, in the spirit of KDD’s tradition that we started in 2016. This 2-minute video is mandatory. Note that your video should *not* include a read-out of your presentation slides or the content of your paper. Rather, the video should highlight the essence of your work, and serve as a starting point for a discussion. Please be creative! These videos will be uploaded to the KDD-2024 YouTube channel – and they will stay there to showcase your research for years to come!

- There is no deadline. Just make sure to present your poster during the corresponding session of your poster.

- We will number each board and assign a board number to every paper. You can find the information on the program booklet/KDD website once it’s published.
- Will KDD provide a sample poster template (.ppt file) to use?
